I missed your comment somehow. Isn’t sundowner THE best word? I did in fact have to use the bathroom out in the bush. When this happened Vincent would drive us to an area he deemed safe for me to jump out of the jeep. I have never peed faster in my life. I love that you got choked up. Second, “sundowner” is now my favorite word too! Third – logistics questions: When you are on safari for 3-4 hours, what do you do if you need to go to the bathroom? I don’t want a lion catching me with my pants down to be my last memory. :) Thanks for sharing this. I actually got choked up a few times just thinking how amazing this experience must have been. I MUST work on Chris to make this happen for us sometime soon!!!

I can’t wait to re-read it over and over throughout the years to come. What a special treat these five days were in the Maasai Mara.

I also remember the cool feeling of going to sleep in the quietness of the bush in our tent. It was incredible to hear such quietness but to know that the land was active with cats stalking their prey!
